October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
DARS is more than just helping victims, it’s about our dedication to spreading awareness and educating our community in person on how to navigate supportive services available if you or someone you know may need help at some point. DARS invited various community partners throughout Utah to join us in a friendly but informative scavenger hunt in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

FREE INDOOR EVENT
October 4th at 11am-3pm at Sandy City Building 440 E 8680 S
We recruited over 50 domestic violence professionals to team up as one to represent our dedication and support to those who have experienced domestic violence.
Resources, support tables, small treats, and uplifting activities will accompany the event. Beautiful Minky Couture blankets and pillow cases will be available to help encourage donations to support those we serve without health insurance.
Scavenger Hunt it is!
There are so many resources but it can be confusing especially when someone needs help.
Each community partner will demonstrate how we help victims of crimes. After you complete the walk around “hunt” by visiting each table, there will be a small prize for you to claim (while supplies last).
DARS-We are the steady foundation and main contact for those who have experienced domestic violence. We immediately begin creating goal plans tailored to fit each survivor’s need then help them navigate and maintain multiple resources together every step of the way. DARS step-by-step realistic navigation plan helps reduce the anxiety of knowing who to reach out to for help.
Police Your local police department are there to help protect victims and survivors in their crisis.
Victim Advocates System-based Victim Advocates in your city help you navigate the legal aspects of your case.
Therapists Licensed trauma-focused therapists throughout our community assist in your healing process at your pace and without judgment.
There will be many more powerful community partners attending this event with resources and looking forward to sharing with you.
Your attendance to this event may help you discover unknown critical resources. Together we can help eliminate the stigma associated when reaching out for help and provide a linear experience for those in need by doing this. See you there!
